Training with Fatima Korok
18 Jan 2026
I had the opportunity to attend a training workshop with Fatima Korok at The Campus pool — an elite freediver and world record holder. It felt surreal to learn directly from someone performing at that level, and I was genuinely excited to be there. Her sharing session was especially inspiring. She spoke about how she structures her training, but more importantly, how she navigates setbacks — particularly recovering from injury and finding her way back. It was a reminder that progress at the highest level is rarely linear. The pool session was just as meaningful. She observed my DNF technique closely and offered small, precise adjustments — the kind that seem simple, but shift everything. I left with a clearer sense of what to focus on in my own training.
