Singapore Ultimate Freediving Challenge IX
1 May 2025
I participated in the Ultimate Freediving Challenge IX in Singapore, marking my first international competition. The event featured elite divers from various countries, many achieving distances beyond 125 meters. Despite battling illness the week prior, which affected my confidence, I managed to secure a personal best of 117 meters in the Dynamic No Fins (DNF) discipline — just 1 meter short of the Malaysian national record (118m). This performance earned me a third-place finish, and gave me a much-needed confidence boost as I prepare for the upcoming AIDA Freediving World Championship in Wakayama.

A post-dive photo with my coach—happy to hit a personal best, just 1 meter shy of the national record.
Secured 3rd place—grateful for the opportunity, especially after a few top divers were disqualified.
